Working with renowned filmmaker Spike Lee, Cadillac recently debuted the 2021 Cadillac Escalade. Featured in a short film titled “Anthem,” the Escalade took front and center to showcase its high-end refinement, exceptional capabilities, and durability. This includes the industry-first curved OLED screen, which is part of the customizable touch-screen infotainment system.

Spike Lee is perhaps best known for his 1989 film Do the Right Thing, which is commonly listed among the greatest films of all time and has been since been preserved in the National Film Registry. He has also earned recognition for films such as Malcolm X, Chi-Raq, and BlacKkKlansman. In the new Cadillac “Anthem” film, you can see Lee’s signature style in action, including the use of his famous double-dolly shot in the opening sequence.

“As one of the greatest storytellers and most creative filmmakers of his time, Spike Lee’s unique perspective is the perfect conduit for sharing the passion and spirit of the 2021 Escalade,” said Steve Carlisle, the president of Cadillac.

Lee offers a unique take on the 2021 Escalade, illustrating the various ways the new SUV stands apart from the competition. In addition to the OLED instrument cluster and infotainment screens, you’ll find a 6.2-liter V8, an AKG 19-speaker audio system, 22-inch alloy wheels, and a suite of driver-assist technologies.

Pink Cadillac Escalade Is a Symbol of NFL Draftee’s Dreams Come True

If you happen to see a uniquely pink Escalade on the streets, wave hello to Teddy Bridgewater’s mom. She’s the new owner of the custom color Escalade, a color chosen by her son who is a member of the most recent class of NFL draftees.

As a boy, Bridgewater watched his mom, Rose Murphy, work to provide for him and his three siblings. He also stood by her side as she fought against breast cancer and won.

Dreaming of being drafted into the NFL, Bridgewater declared he would give his mom a pink Cadillac Escalade once that day came.

“When I was in third grade, I promised my mom I would get her a pink Cadillac Escalade,” Bridgewater said. “Pink is the color that represents breast cancer awareness, so I just want to get her that big pink Escalade truck and see that big smile on her face.”

Now, years later, that dream has come true. Bridgewater was joined by director Spike Lee in presenting an all-new 2015 Escalade to his mom. True to his word, the Escalade was delivered in a shade of pink Bridgewater chose himself.

Lee documented the momentous occasion in a short film.

We at Bradshaw Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac congratulate Bridgewater on making dreams come true, both his mom’s and his own.
