The 2020 GMC Canyon and GMC Sierra were recently named among the top trucks on the market in terms of towing and hauling. According to U.S. News & World Report, both pickups are on their list of the 13 Best Trucks for Towing. Perfect for your next outdoor adventure near Greer, SC, or for hard work around town, the Canyon and Sierra 1500 are bound to impress any driver.
The 2020 Canyon has an available 2.8-liter turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine, which has 181 horsepower and an impressive 369 lb-ft of torque. This turbo-diesel engine not only saves on fuel, but it has a class-leading 7,700 pounds in maximum towing capacity when equipped with a Trailering Package.
You’ll also find a tow/haul mode when you select the automatic transmission, which helps to improve driving when towing a heavy load. This feature was particularly appealing to the judges at U.S. News, as Nick Kurczewski writes that “this raises or lowers shift points, depending on how much you’re hauling, and uses engine compression to assist with braking.”
The Sierra 1500 is among the top full-size trucks on the market, with 12,100 pounds in towing capacity. You’ll find an available 6.2-liter V8 engine, a Max Trailering Package, and four-wheel drive to improve performance. Other features improve functionality as well, such as the optional ProGrade Trailering System and a state-of-the-art six-function GMC MultiPro Tailgate.
The GMC Sierra 1500 and GMC Canyon are available for purchase at Bradshaw Automotive.
We all want what is best for our families. If you are shopping for a new midsize SUV, you should consider the 2020 Chevrolet Blazer. It was recently named the Best New Midsize SUV by Good Housekeeping Institute and Car and Driver magazine.
“A stylish exterior and an appealing aesthetic wraps this practical, fun-to-drive crossover,” writes Rachel Rothman, Good Housekeeping Institute Chief Technologist and Head Engineer. “You’ll enjoy a confident, responsive drive that stands out on city streets and highways alike.”
To determine the winners for the Best New Family Car Awards, testers took each vehicle through 5,000 miles of tests, this included highways, city driving, and test tracks. Each vehicle was evaluated for its design, technology, handling, safety, and overall value.
Another important consideration was convenience features like cargo space. The Blazer boasts a maximum of 64.2 cubic feet with the second row of seats folded. With the seats in place, you can use up to 30.5 cubic feet for your cargo needs.
If your family loves to take a boat or trailer out for some outdoor fun, the Blazer has a maximum towing capacity of up to 4,500 pounds. You can also choose from among three engine options so you can get the right amount of performance to meet your family’s needs.

During this global pandemic, many companies are stepping up to help our essential healthcare workers. Earlier in the year, General Motors started producing face masks and ventilators. Now, it is expanding its work even further by producing a variety of personal protective equipment (PPE) like aerosol boxes, protective gowns, and face shields.
Initially, volunteer employees put their manufacturing skills to good use and made handmade samples of face masks. They took these samples to a local hospital for evaluation and adjusted their design based on feedback. Now, GM makes 50,000 masks each week.
Steve Hart, GM director of design fabrication operations, said, “The dedication, abilities, and spirit of collaboration from our skilled tradespeople has been humbling. They are working longer hours than ever on a voluntary basis to fulfill urgent requests from doctors, nurses, and other professionals on the front lines.”
GM’s fabrication team is now working to assemble protective gowns and aerosol boxes. They will distribute these necessary items to hospitals in the area including the Henry Ford Health System. For the face shields, GM is using its 3D printing technology and a collaboration with Summit Polymers to produce 50,000 shields a week.
All materials are being produced using medical guidelines and feedback to make sure they work the way doctors and nurses need them to.
At Bradshaw Automotive we’re proud of the essential workers and healthcare heroes in our community of Greer, SC.
The completely redesigned fifth generation of the Cadillac Escalade will make its debut later this year for the 2021 model year. Along with a sophisticated design, a more spacious interior, and stunning advanced technology, the Escalade will offer a new diesel engine for the first time.
The available diesel engine will be a Duramax® 3.0-liter inline-six that is rated at 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. This engine will give people new options in the luxury SUV segment, especially for those concerned about their fuel economy. Official EPA estimates for the new diesel engine have yet to be released.
Dave Schiavone, Escalade Marketing Manager, said, “If you love Escalade, you love Escalade. But for those people that also love fuel efficiency, they can get it in the diesel. We’re expecting some pretty good improvements in fuel economy on the diesel over the V8 gasoline.”
Along with its expected jump in fuel economy, Schiavone says the diesel engine will give the Escalade good acceleration thanks to its wide availability of torque.
If you still want the traditional V8, it will still be the standard engine on the 2021 Escalade. Like previous years, it will produce 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.

The 2021 Chevrolet Colorado is getting some significant updates that will make this midsize truck even more exciting. All trim levels will receive new styling on the front and back ends and Chevrolet is paring down the trim level offerings.
In 2021, the base trim level on the Colorado will be the Work Truck model, which means you will get more standard features right from the start. Chevrolet says that with the new front-end design, each trim level will have a more distinct look. On the back end of the Colorado, the rear bowtie on the tailgate has been replaced with the word “Chevrolet” embossed into the metal.
Another addition to the Colorado’s looks will be a new available Sand Dune Metallic exterior color. This will be an option on the Colorado Z71 and ZR2. The off-road-oriented ZR2 model will also feature a wide grille design with an open “Chevrolet” badge across the front. This model will come standard with stylish red row hooks.

The 2020 model year marks a momentous occasion for the Chevy Corvette line — for the first time, the Corvette Stingray is being built as a mid-engine production model, making it the fastest and most potent entry-level Corvette since the sports car launched over 65 years ago.
To add to the celebration, the new Corvette Stingray was recently named the 2020 MotorTrend Car of the Year.
“It’s an honor for the Corvette team to receive this coveted award from MotorTrend against the best the industry has to offer,” commented Tadge Juechter, the Corvette executive chief engineer. “Our design and engineering teams spent several years sweating the details to deliver the first mid-engine Corvette. To have a third party validate our hard work makes it all worthwhile.”
The new impressive Chevy Corvette Stingray can sprint from 0 to 60 in just 2.9 seconds when equipped with the Z51 Performance Package. Its 6.2-liter Small Block V8 LT2 engine unleashes 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque.

The new Chevy Silverado earned a high honor at the 2019 SEMA Show. The iconic Silverado was named Truck of the Year by SEMA judges. They graded trucks based on their business opportunities for aftermarket accessorizing using five different categories for scoring.
The new Silverado 1500, which boasts a wide range of engines — including a new diesel engine — and the redesigned Durabed that offers more cargo space than any other truck in the industry, earned the Truck of the Year title on November 4, right before the SEMA Show officially kicked off.
“The SEMA Show is where the newest and most innovative aftermarket products are seen first,” remarked Mike Spagnola, SEMA vice president of OEM and product development. “SEMA Show exhibitors are the innovators and experts who drive the $45 billion industry. Knowing what they believe are the best vehicles for accessorization helps to forecast trends.”
At the show, Chevy brought along multiple Silverado models from across its generations to demonstrate how customizable the model has always been. For the current model year, Chevy also brought the Silverado HD Z71 Sport Package and Silverado Redline Edition models to showcase possible variants of the Silverado truck.

The Midnight Edition can be ordered on the Custom Trail Boss trim when powered by either the 5.3-liter V8 engine paired to a six-speed automatic transmission or the 6.2-liter V8 engine with 10-speed automatic transmission.
