Car and Driver Names Corvette to 2022 10Best List

2022 Chevrolet Corvette | Greer, SC

The industry experts at Car and Driver recently named the Chevrolet Corvette to the prestigious 10Best List for 2022. The judges praised the Corvette’s supercar performance, exotic styling, and surprisingly affordable price tag.

Perfect for Weekend Fun

The publication noted that the Corvette was the fastest model on the test track, outpacing rivals like the Porsche Boxster and Cayman. But its top-of-the-line driving experience goes beyond its styling and engineering. The Corvette lets you put your own spin on its breathtaking design by letting you choose from a variety of interior color schemes, seatbelt color options, and even the color of its brake calipers. And on top of all that, it’s got a trunk that’s spacious enough for two golf bags!

Engine

The C8 Corvette is powered by your choice of a 490- or 495-horsepower V8 that’s paired with launch-control capabilities, courtesy of its innovative dual-clutch automatic transmission. Thanks to this dynamic duo, this mid-engine marvel can rocket from 0-60 mph in just 2.8 seconds. Plus, it’s available as both a hardtop and convertible, so you can opt to feel the wind in your hair.

As of this year, the Corvette has earned a spot on Car and Driver’s 10Best List a whopping 23 times. Come see why this supercar continues to wow critics — contact us at Bradshaw Automotive in Greer, South Carolina to learn more about this stunning all-American masterpiece.

Should You Choose the Chevy Equinox or the Chevy Trailblazer?

The Chevrolet Equinox and Chevrolet Trailblazer are both family-friendly models with plenty of advanced safety technology, modern connectivity features, and versatile capabilities. Here’s a quick and easy guide to help you decide whether the Equinox or the Trailblazer is the right fit for your family.

Powertrain

The Equinox boasts a 1.5-liter turbo inline-four engine that pumps out 170 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque. Check Out the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Greer, SC

2022 isn’t even here yet, but Chevrolet is already looking forward to the 2023 model year. We’ll let it slide because we’re as excited as the bowtie brand is for the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06.

All-New Engine

This new Corvette has an all-new engine under the hood, the 5.5-liter LT6 DOHC V8. It’s the highest-horsepower naturally aspirated V8 engine on the market, slated to achieve 670 horsepower at 8,600 rpm and 460 lb-ft of torque.

All of this power comes from the racetrack engineering embedded in the Chevrolet Corvette Z06’s very bones. Besides the new engine, the front and rear facia has a wider look to resemble other track-ready supercars. This Corvette will also follow the mid-engine design launched two years ago for increased stability and handling wherever you drive it. The Z06 borrows popular features from the Corvette Stingray, like advanced driver technologies, to create the ultimate ride.

Customization

The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is made to be customized. In the 2023 model year, you’ll be able to upgrade with a Z07 Performance Package for even more track-tuned performance.

Like the other famed Corvettes before it, the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 will be built in Kentucky, home of America’s fastest thoroughbreds. While we’re talking about it now, the car isn’t slated for production until summer 2022.

Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban Get Upgrades for 2022

2022 Chevrolet Suburban | Greer, SC

The 2022 model year is coming soon, and it brings bigger and better things for the Chevrolet Suburban and Chevrolet Tahoe. This includes new power options under the hood and additional technology features.

Both the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban will have increased V8 engine availability: the RST, Z71, and Premier trim levels are available with the 6.3-liter V8 engine that achieves 420 horsepower. An available electronic limited slip differential also monitors your wheels as you drive, giving you a sportier driving experience.

If you use Google to run your life, you’ll be happy to know that the Tahoe and Suburban will now be available with Google Assistant. It works with Android™ Auto and Apple CarPlay® to manage audio volume, climate settings, Google Maps, and phone messages with your voice. Chevrolet plans for additional uses for the feature as it rolls out.

For safety, the Front and Rear Park Assist, Lane Keep Assist, and Lane Departure Warning systems will now be standard on all trims of these vehicles. Advanced safety systems are good, but seat belts are still an essential way to protect you and your family on the go. The 2022 Suburban and Tahoe will come standard with the Buckle to Drive feature. It won’t let you move the car out of park until the front passenger and driver have their seat belts on.

Buick Encore GX and Chevrolet Trailblazer Grab IIHS Safety Awards

2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer, Greer, SC

If you’re shopping for a small SUV, consider taking the Buick Encore GX or Chevrolet Trailblazer out for a spin. The Trailblazer just earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s top recognition, IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+, and the Encore GX earned an IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK award.

The difference between the two awards comes down to headlights. The Buick Encore GX has the TOP SAFETY PICK award because it has an available headlight system with an acceptable or good rating. The Trailblazer’s bump to the TOP SAFETY PICK+ comes from headlights across all of its trim levels that meet that designation.

Both of the vehicles scored a good rating in the six IIHS crash tests, including the notoriously difficult overlap tests.

As a nod to advanced driver-assist technology, the IIHS recognized that both the Buick Encore GX and Chevy Trailblazer have an available front crash prevention system. Not only can you add these systems, but they also performed at a level to bring home a superior or advanced score.

If you’re shopping for something to help you drive around town in comfort, the Buick Encore GX is a good choice. Its small size makes it a breeze to maneuver, but the interior cargo areas can be configured for all the cargo you need.

The Chevrolet Trailblazer is one of Chevy’s storied nameplates. Discontinued in 2009, it’s back and more than ready to take on your family’s adventures.

Visit Bradshaw Automotive in Greer, South Carolina, to learn more about both of these award-winning SUVs.

Safety is a top concern for Chevrolet and it shows in the 2021 Chevrolet Traverse. When equipped with optional front crash prevention and specific headlights, the midsize SUV earns a Top Safety Pick award from the Insurance Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

“Safety for our customers through each of our brands has always been paramount to our operations,” said John Capp, director of Global Safety Technology, Strategy and Regulations at GM.

The six crashworthiness tests are small overlap front: driver side, small overlap front: passenger-side, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength, and head restraints and seats. The IIHS also rated the available front crash prevention, vehicle-to-vehicle tech in the 2021 Traverse as “Superior.”
