If you love the style and sophistication of the Cadillac Escalade, but have always wished it had more power, you will love the first-ever 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V. This incredible SUV will be the most powerful full-size SUV ever.
Powering the Escalade-V is a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that delivers 682 horsepower and 653 lb-ft of torque. This is paired with a specially calibrated 10-speed automatic transmission, full-time active all-wheel drive, and an exclusive suspension system.
With this powertrain combination, the Escalade-V is expected to have a 0-60 mph time of less than 4.4 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 12.74 seconds at a speed of 110 mph.
In addition to its incredible performance, the Escalade-V will come with unique styling details including V-Series front and rear fascias, quad exhaust outlets, 22-inch aluminum wheels, semi-aniline leather on all three rows, Zebra Wood interior trim details, and heated and ventilated front seats with massage settings.
The Escalade-V also delivers powerful technology that started with the impressive, curved OLED screen that spans 38 inches across the dashboard. You can upgrade the Escalade-V with the available Super Cruise technology that offers hands-free driving capabilities on more than 200,000 miles of compatible roads. Super Cruise is also functional while towing and has automatic lane change capabilities.
Though it might be tempting to look at Cadillac’s newest entry as another pretty face, the high-performance Cadillac CT5 far more than just a gorgeous design with a sumptuous interior. According to industry juggernaut J.D. Power, the all-new 2020 CT5 is amongst the top automotive models in terms of initial performance. In order to gather the information needed for the Initial Quality Study, J.D. Power surveys new vehicle owners about any problems they encountered during the first 90 days of ownership. Results are compiled by individual vehicles and organized into segments. Vehicles with the most problems receive a lower ranking on the chart.
Based on the data gathered by J.D. Power from new owners, the 2020 Cadillac CT5 ranked as the best-performing premium midsize sedan in terms of initial quality. The XT5’s performance during its first year of availability is notable, as it is typical for brand-new models to experience more quality issues than older models.
The XT5 wasn’t the only Cadillac vehicle that demonstrated superior initial quality compared to its luxury peers. The Cadillac Escalade, CT6, and XT4 also topped the Initial Quality Study for their respective segments.
Given that few updates are expected for the 2021 CT5, we expect similar performance from the luxury sedan next year.

Working with renowned filmmaker Spike Lee, Cadillac recently debuted the 2021 Cadillac Escalade. Featured in a short film titled “Anthem,” the Escalade took front and center to showcase its high-end refinement, exceptional capabilities, and durability. This includes the industry-first curved OLED screen, which is part of the customizable touch-screen infotainment system.
Spike Lee is perhaps best known for his 1989 film Do the Right Thing, which is commonly listed among the greatest films of all time and has been since been preserved in the National Film Registry. He has also earned recognition for films such as Malcolm X, Chi-Raq, and BlacKkKlansman. In the new Cadillac “Anthem” film, you can see Lee’s signature style in action, including the use of his famous double-dolly shot in the opening sequence.
“As one of the greatest storytellers and most creative filmmakers of his time, Spike Lee’s unique perspective is the perfect conduit for sharing the passion and spirit of the 2021 Escalade,” said Steve Carlisle, the president of Cadillac.
Lee offers a unique take on the 2021 Escalade, illustrating the various ways the new SUV stands apart from the competition. In addition to the OLED instrument cluster and infotainment screens, you’ll find a 6.2-liter V8, an AKG 19-speaker audio system, 22-inch alloy wheels, and a suite of driver-assist technologies.
While you may love how your car looks on the outside, it’s the inside that matters the most. Recently, the all-new 2017 Cadillac XT5 was included as one of Wards 10 Best Interiors for 2016. As a brand new model to the Cadillac line-up, this shows great things to come!
WardsAuto editors were impressed with the XT5’s “first-rate materials” along with its advanced technology. Cadillac implemented a whole-new design for the XT5, which incorporates authentic, high-end materials, decorative trims. This is best exemplified on the XT5 Platinum Edition.
To be included in this list, vehicle interiors have to be all-new or significantly redesigned. The 10 winners, including the XT5, were chosen from a total of 47 interiors. WardsAuto editors spend two months evaluating all the designs. Each vehicle is judged based on its design harmony, aesthetics, materials, ergonomics, safety, value, comfort, fit-and-finish, and user-friendliness of the technology.
The 2017 Cadillac XT5 heads into production this month and for most dealers will go on sale later this year.

Cadillac has always been ahead of the curve. Just last year, you could find wireless charging capability as well as 4G LTE Wi-Fi connectivity featured broadly across the Cadillac lineup. This was before many other luxury brands had done so. Now, Cadillac is continuing to blaze the way for new technology by improving many of the Cadillac smartphone integration systems.
This feature is growing more and more important as smartphones become absolutely integral to daily life. David Leone, Executive Chief Engineer for Cadillac reports that the automaker is “moving quickly to enhance phone integration and overall system performance.”
This means that 2016 model year vehicles from Cadillac featuring the CUE’s 8-in multi-touch screen will boast functionality in Apple CarPlay. A press release from Cadillac reports, “Android Auto is expected to be phased into 2016 production at a later date.” Not only will Cadillac vehicles connect to both iPhones and Androids, it will also be a lot easier and more intuitive to access smartphone features.
If that wasn’t enough, Cadillac is making the processor in their CUE systems much more powerful for 2016. Users will enjoy faster boot-up times and improved voice recognition. Tell us what you think of Cadillac latest technology here at Bradshaw Automotive in the comments below!
What better place to put on a dazzling performance than during the Oscars? That is Cadillac’s plan, anyway.
The automaker signed a five-year deal about two years ago to be the Academy Awards’ exclusive automotive sponsor. This time around, Cadillac “will introduce its new brand identity, tag line and advertising campaign,” according to GM Authority. It’s a good time to do it too because many people still like to watch the Oscars live. This means they will be much more likely to see the Cadillac advertisements as opposed to recording the show and skipping through the commercials.
The brand sees airing Cadillac advertisements during the Oscars as a real opportunity to attract new customers. Chief Marketing Officer Uwe Ellinghaus said the “people that are interested in Hollywood and everything that the lifestyle Hollywood stands for” might find that they like Cadillac as a brand.
The 87th Oscars will air on February 22nd on ABC, and we at Bradshaw Chevrolet Cadillac will be watching. The Cadillac spots to air will ramp up interest for the upcoming New York International Auto Show where Cadillac will present a brand-new display for the new CT6.
Next year, Cadillac will have a new car joining the model line, and it will be big one. The new sedan will be a flagship to lead all Cadillacs in both size and features.
According to Cadillac spokesman David Caldwell, “We are in development of a top-of-the-range car for Cadillac. It is a new architecture, rear-wheel drive, and, of course, all-wheel drive will be offered.”
Although no official name has been announced yet, the car with the codename LTS has had rumors spread about it for years, ever since the Cadillac Sixteen concept was introduced in 2003 and the Elmiraj was unveiled at Pebble Beach in 2013.
Bob Ferguson, Senior Vice President of Global Cadillac, said, “The Elmiraj was designed to be more than a concept car. It was designed to go out and test the market to see if there is an appetite for something like that.

The countless historic records in the Library of Congress Archives have a new member. A 1918 Cadillac Type 57, which served in World War I, was recently added to these important archives, after the vehicle became the fourth added to the Historic Vehicle Associations new National Historic Vehicle Register. This vehicle was also added to the U.S. Department of the Interior Historic American Engineering Record.
Throughout its long life, this particular 1918 Cadillac Type 57 played an important part in history. Not only was it used during the Second Battle of the Marne to support French and American troops near the front, but it was also used by Eleanor Butler Roosevelt, the wife of Theodore Roosevelt, Jr. It acted as her mode of transportation during a two-month mission to create locations for soldiers to enjoy time off.
“The Cadillac Type 57—U.S. 1257X is a great example of a rare survivor—a vehicle that saw extraordinary used during its active life yet has survived to the present day,” said Richard O’Connor, chief of Heritage Documentation Programs with the National Park Service, U.S. Department of Interior. “Recognized the Cadillac military vehicle at the 100th anniversary of WWI commemorates America’s participation in the Great War and illustrates one of the many contributions the automobile has made to U.S. history.”
At the upcoming New York Men’s Day fashion show on September 3, Cadillac will get fashionable with ten unique exterior wraps for the 2015 ATS Coupe.
The popular men’s magazine GQ writes, “Wrapped in inspirations behind the soon-to-be-seen collections, or prints actually from them, the one-off vehicles are a sneak peek at what’s to come from guys like tailoring maestro Antonio Azzuolo.”
Ten ATS Coupes will take the stage wearing new exterior colors. Check out the GQ article for a small taste of what’s to come. The designs will vary from 1950s-era inspired art deco to more contemporary modern art.
This will be the second year Cadillac has participated in the New York Men’s Day show, but is the first where the cars will become part of the fashion.
While these designs will of course never make it to a showroom floor, it’s great to see Cadillac finding creative ways to express its luxurious and fashionable side.
