General Motors fills its vehicles with plenty of advanced, high-tech solutions so you never lose your way. With the launch of Maps+, GM has made navigating easier and more intuitive than ever before.
The new Maps+ in-vehicle navigation app, powered by Mapbox, upgrades the capabilities of compatible Buick, Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac vehicles that are model year 2018 and newer. Maps+ began its rollout at the end of April to approximately 900,000 vehicles through select Connected Services plans.
By combining navigation, voice assistants, and apps into a singular system, Maps+ integrates its capability with vehicles that previously did not have built-in navigation. Maps+ works with Alexa built-in voice control, which can be used to start navigation or listen to music and podcasts. Other Maps+ features include cross-app integration and a simple interface, personalization of design and shortcuts, and other services such as speed limit and road hazard alerts, real-time map data, and routing notifications.
Maps+ adds to GM’s extensive suite of features and technologies that seamlessly and safely integrate information and convenience into your drive.
