Chevrolet is using this Leap Year as an excuse to do some seriously cool charitable work. Under the banner of their #DayItForward campaign, Chevrolet helped make a difference in all sorts of different ways.
“Time is such a precious commodity and having an extra day this year presents an amazing opportunity for all of us to do something impactful,” said Paul Edwards, Chevrolet Vice President of Marketing. Edwards further states, “The Chevy team is going to take those extra hours and put them towards doing unexpected acts of kindness for people—something that we hope others will embrace and repeat.”
Here are just a few way’s the Chevrolet Day It Forward campaign helped out across the country.
- Chevy teamed up with The Ellen Show for Ellen’s “Trunk of Dreams” event. The show gave away a Chevy Malibu to a hardworking college student.
- In cahoots with the Jimmy Kimmel Live! Show, Chevrolet helped provide teachers at Whaley Middle School in Los Angeles with much-needed school supplies.
- Academy Award-winning actor Kevin Spacey and the Kevin Spacey Foundation and Chevrolet gave Diontae Simpson, an aspiring actor, a grant so that he can study at a prestigious drama school.
