2019 Silverado Trail Boss Is Designed for Off-Road Adventure

2019 Silverado Trail Boss

Pickup trucks are more popular than ever. After 2018 saw record-breaking purchases of over 2 million trucks in the USA, General Motors aims to gain more of the market share. The 2019 Silverado Trail Boss aims to do that by impressing buyers with its off-roading prowess and powerful engines.

Powered by a potent engine, the Trail Boss features a 5.3-liter DFM V8 generating 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque regulated by an eight-speed automatic transmission. Using this powertrain, the Silverado Trail Boss can accelerate like few other trucks can, going from 0-60 mph in a swift 6.1 seconds. An optional 3.0-liter Duramax turbo-diesel I6 engine is on its way, but official specs have not been announced yet.

The Silverado’s look shows it’s ready for action, with a two-inch lift, 18-inch Goodyear Duratrac tires, skid plates, Rancho shock absorbers, and other exterior enhancements.

When it comes to the rougher roads ahead, the 2019 Silverado Trail Boss glides with control and ease. Chevy has optimized its steering particularly for challenging terrains, giving you the option to switch between modes for better control.

When the road turns to dust, the Trail Boss really shows off. Bradshaw Chevrolet will have the 2019 Silverado Trail Boss soon, and we can’t wait to have this adventure machine on our lot.

2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

General Motors kicked off the New Year with an ad campaign demonstrating just what the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 has to offer American drivers. Dubbed “A Little Bit Country, A Little Bit Rock ‘n’ Roll,” the ad puts the spotlight on people from all walks of life.

The ad keeps in tune with Donny and Marie Osmond’s classic song of the same name. The minute-long commercial spotlights real Silverado 1500 drivers, who are farmers, businessmen, construction workers, fishermen, soldiers, and industrial workers, perfectly demonstrating America’s love for a reliable, versatile pickup truck.

“This spot celebrates the fact that the all-new Silverado is designed and engineered for all facets of America,” Chevrolet said in a statement.

The ad debuted during the College National football game. It’s the first of three video spots designed to showcase how drivers use their Chevrolet Silverado 1500 in their daily lives.

The second ad, titled “Official Truck of the Real People,” focuses on how the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is perfect for work and play. The third ad, dubbed ”Tailgates,” shines the spotlight on the segment-exclusive power up/down tailgate. Both ads will air digitally and in select theaters later this year.

Chevrolet’s Call Me Out App Helps Encourage Safer Driving

Call Me Out App

We all know that using your phone while driving is dangerous. But, according to a Research Now study, 90 percent of drivers have done it at some point. This is a daunting statistic. To help curb this hazardous driving habit, Chevrolet has created the Call Me Out app.

Alan Batey, president of GM North America and head of Global Chevrolet, articulated the company’s goal for the app. “With Call Me Out, we are extending our commitment beyond the technologies integrated into GM and Chevy vehicles and are making the app available for Android phone users who drive other vehicle makes and models in an effort to help people change their driving behavior and make our roads safer.”

This app, which is available to download now on Android smartphones, uses a combination of technology and peer influence to encourage drivers to leave their phones alone while driving. To app relies on the phone’s GPS and accelerometer to determine when the phone is travelling faster than 5 mph. If someone picks up the phone while driving, the app will automatically play a personalized message prerecorded by family members or friends.

The app also keeps track of your progress and awards points. The less you handle your phone, the more points you will get and the higher up the scoreboard you will go.

2018 Buick Enclave | Bradshaw Automotive | Greer, SC

The process of fueling up is such a drag. It’s inconvenient, time-consuming, and your gas tank always seems to be on the verge of empty when you just want to get home. Thankfully, Buick has come up with a way to make stopping for gas easier and faster than ever. Buick models with access to the Buick Marketplace will be able to download the ExxonMobil Speedpass app, which allows drivers to pay through the convenience of their app.

The ExxonMobil Speedpass app is compatible with over 11,000 Exxon and Mobile gas stations across the United States and lets drivers pay in their vehicle without swiping a card. Drivers can even earn points through the rewards program. In order to use the app, Buick drivers simply have to press the app icon through the interface of their vehicle’s infotainment system, allow the app to detect their location, and then select a pump and payment method. The app will be available free of charge.

The ExxonMobil Speedpass app will make everything from the daily commute to long-distance road trips easier than ever for Buick drivers. This partnership isn’t the only way Buick makes filling up more convenient, however; all recent models come standard with capless gas tanks, too, for quick and easy fueling.

Revamped GMC Sierra 1500 to Offer Fresh Features

2019 GMC Sierra 1500

The half-ton pickup market is a competitive segment, especially here in America. Pickup trucks offer a variety of different features, capabilities, and packages to appeal to a broad and diverse audience. GMC is staying one step ahead of competitors with expanded options for the GMC Sierra 1500. The model, due for a 2019 model year release, will offer drivers the options of a carbon fiber truck bed and an off-road trim level.

One of the most anticipated new features to debut on the 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 is the MultiPro tailgate. This tailgate will be standard on the SLT and Denali trim levels, which are the models selected by 87% of GMC Sierra 1500 customers.

More tie-downs and 110-volt outlet will also be included with the Sierra 1500’s short box, and in addition to the standard high-strength steel boxes, drivers will be able to select truck beds built from alloy, which has been engineered to be 50% stronger than the Sierra 1500’s current alloy box. Later in the model year, the GMC Sierra 1500 will also offer a CarbonPro box with some panels made from carbon-fiber composite.
