A Few Great Camping Spots In Upstate South Carolina

hiking in the mountains - camping spots in upstate South Carolina

The camping spots in upstate South Carolina are numerous and choice. There are opportunities for fishing, swimming, hiking and just plain soaking up some of the most beautiful landscapes this fair land has to offer. We here at Bradshaw Automotive have thrown together a few of our favorites for you just as summer approaches.

Devil’s Fork State Park – Salem

The campgrounds at Devil’s Fork State Park are situated on the banks of the pretty and placid Lake Jocassee. Anglers will find the spot to their liking as the lake features both trophy trout and smallmouth bass. Kayak rentals are available and make for a wonderful way to get around the lake. Camping facilities feature restrooms with hot showers in case you decide to stay for a few more days.

King Mountain Park – Blacksburg, SC

A wonderful place to camp for both tent campers and RV owners, King Mountain Park features two beautiful lakes, tranquil thanks to motor restrictions. In fact, non-motorized boats are available for slow perusing of the calm waters and intense watching of bobbers.

Croft State Park – Spartanburg

Croft State Park is unique for a number of reasons. First of all, even casual birdwatchers will delight in knowing that all sorts of species can be spotted there, including different varieties of hawks, bald eagles, and wood ducks. Secondly, the park features a skeet shooting park just outside its gates!
